What is the pen tool used for?
Creating line and tracing patterns and textures

How can you manipulate a path/line in Illustrator? Discuss the use of the white arrow tool, pen+, pen-, and convert too.
Pen+ : Adds more anchors so you can manipulate the line/shape where you choose.
Pen- : Rids line/shape of anchors you don't want
Convert tool : turs paths into corners and corners into paths

How can you utilize the layers palette in Illustrator?
You can add a new layer, Hide a Layer, lock a layer or delete a layer

How do you create a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator?
You make a shape w/ no line and no fill around the area you want to keep. You make sure its at the top and then select everything. Go under object -> Clipping Mask -> Make
